GP Kinross Shakeara

Born: December 28, 2010

Dam:
Kinross Good Golly Miss Molly
Sire: GC, BW, NW Kinross James McGlynn

This little girl is a blue mackeral tabby and white kitten. Don't be deceived by her cute, innocent face. She is the leader of her litter and she can keep her brothers in their place quite easily.

But, when she's in the mood, she is a very affectionate girl who will knead you until you beg for mercy. She has gone to a few shows and has taken some ribbons from her bigger brother.

Shakeara is now a Grand Premier, getting her GP at the Parma, Ohio show on October 9, 2011. That same day, she went to live with Carol, and now lives a pampered retired show cat's life. Here are some updates:

#1: She stayed under the couch all night. I could not get her to come out. This morning she did come out and found a shelf in the entertainment center. That's where she is now. She doesn't mind if I pet her but she will not come to me yet. I know it will take some getting used to being in a new environment. I am sure she will come around and we will be the best of friends. I don't want to push her. I pet her and talk to her.
#2: She came out and ate last night. I had the dry food out for her. She really surprised me. I talk to her a lot. I was sitting on the couch and suddenly she jumped up in my lap. I petted her and she couldn't get enough. She was purring and pushing against me. We had a great night. I was thrilled. It just took her a couple of days to come around. She even played with her toys for a while. We are going to be just fine. I was worried over nothing.
#3: She is doing great. She still hides under the couch sometimes. But she does come out and jumps in my lap for a while. She is very loving. I will be glad when she can feel comfortable enough to stay out of her hiding places.
